It was a rough start to 2022. First, Betty. Then, Bob. For those that grew up watching them each week, it hit hard. My entire adolescence, I felt like I was a part of their inner circles because for years they were front and center in my living room, telling me jokes and showing me how to get out of a mess I’d gotten into. They told me how to right a wrong without making it worse, and they took me along on their amazing adventures with their TV friends and families. They showed me that it’s not what you have around you, but who you have around you that truly matters in life, and I will forever be grateful for these lessons I learned from them.
One of those lessons was to recognize when you need to reprioritize. You may or may not have noticed, but I took a mini-break from my blog. I love to write, but it’s my hobby. My family, friends, and career take precedence. So if you were wondering, that’s where I’ve been. Life just got too much for a hot minute, and if I learned anything from Bob & Betty it’s that when your inner circle needs help, you drop everything extra to be there for them.
I did, however, keep track of some blunders during my break. So get ready to be wowed by my complete lack of foresight and trustingness of my directionally challenged friends.
Keep it Golden, Bob & Betty. While everyone down here is sad you left, everyone up there is happy they finally got you back.
